Helping Smart People Make Radically Better Decisions

Entrepreneur, Abundant Thinker, politics junkie, and problem-solver with a burning obsession to routinely do the impossible and unleash the potential of people and systems everywhere.

Nat is a trailblazer and big ideas guy with a famous appetite for finding the hidden potential in people and organizations everywhere, and doing what he’s told can’t be done. Since his youth in Hong Kong Nat has explored various ventures in engineering design, global trade, technical problem-solving, organizational transformation, and political reform. The hallmark of each of these efforts is simple: deliver results.

In 2001, aged 28, Nat co-founded Stroud International and later as CEO has led its growth into a global business, delivering unparalleled performance improvement results for businesses across the world. Nat’s Abundant Thinking mindset serves as Stroud’s guiding compass, and his vision for personal and professional development have helped Stroud win more of Consulting Magazine’s “Best Small Firm to Work For” awards than any firm in history.

In 2015 Nat co-founded ReConsider, expanding his mission of unleashing potential beyond business and into the American democracy. His long-term vision is to re-build the middle-ground in US politics and enable the US political system to expand prosperity for all Americans into the 21st century. Here he co-authored Wedged, which examines the root causes behind American political polarization.

In 2016, he launched his latest project, Stop Guessing, aimed at developing a million great problem-solvers to solve the hardest and most pressing problems facing the world.

Nat’s belief in lifelong education has led him to receive a Masters degree from Oxford University in Engineering Science and a PGC from Cambridge in Design, Manufacturing & Management. After moving to the United States, he attended the Harvard Business School Owner/President Management program and joined the Young Presidents’ Organization to improve his organizational leadership skills. Recently he joined Converge Venture Partners to further develop his entrepreneurial toolkit, and sits on the Board of Development at Christ Church, Oxford.

Nat’s international upbringing and global travel has armed him with diverse perspectives on challenges he faces, and a fearlessness of the unknown. In Hong Kong he attended school with classmates from over 40 different countries. He has lived, worked, and studied on 3 continents and traveled to more than 50 different countries and territories.

At heart, Nat is an adventurer. He was a Bungee Jump Display Artist with the Oxford Stunt Factory as an undergraduate, he has hiked in the Himalayas, skied to the South Pole and most recently had to be rescued in the Blackburn Challenge when his rowing scull broke in half in the rough Atlantic waters off Cape Ann in Massachusetts. He stays active rowing, skiing, and renovating his home with his family.

In life, he strives everyday to leap out of bed with excitement for what awaits him, and surrounds himself with people that are always teaching and challenging him. He ardently pursues his goal to start 40 new ventures that leverage market forces to make a major positive impact on the world. Nat is married to his college sweetheart and together they have four children. They live in Marblehead, MA, by the ocean.
